Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to settle petitioner's voluntary retirement compensation of Rs.62,500/- and post retirement benefit scheme of Rs.18,500/- together with interest at the rate of 6 percent per annum from the date of his retirement to till the date on which the said benefits were settled to him. 1/4

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner retired as Assistant Manager in the respondent corporation on 31.08.2020. His grievance is that the petition mentioned retiral benefits have not been disbursed. The entitlement of the petitioner to the petition mentioned benefits is not in doubt. The respondents are directed to pay the same to the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the amount is paid within the twelve weeks, it will not carry interest. If it is not so paid, it will carry interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of the petitioner's retirement.
