ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present Civil Revision Petition invoking Article 227 of the Constitution of India praying for a direction to the learned District Munsif, Tanjore, to dispose of the execution petition in E.P.No.76 of 2014 in O.S.No.247 of 2007 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. Since the case is for a limited relief of early disposal, no notice need be sent to the respondent.

3. The revision petitioners, who are the plaintiffs, have filed a suit in O.S.No. 247 of 2007 on the file of the District Munsif Court, Thanjavur, for recovery of possession and the same has been allowed and thereafter, the petitioners have filed an Execution Petition in E.P.No.76 of 2014 in O.S.No. 247 of 2007 and the same is pending for the past five years without any progress. Hence, the petitioners have filed the present Civil Revision Petition seeking a direction to dispose the E.P.No.76 of 2014 in O.S.No. 247 of 2007, within a stipulated time.

4. Considering the limited relief sought for by the revision petitioner, without going into the merits and demerits of the allegation raised by the revision petitioners, this civil https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

revision petition is disposed of with the following directions: (a) The learned District Munsif, Thanjavur is directed to dispose of E.P.No.76 of 2014 in O.S.No. 247 of 2007, pending on his file, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving notice to both parties, on day to day basis, without giving any further adjournment.

(b) After passing orders in the Execution Petition, the learned District Munsif, Thanjavur is directed to report the same before this Court within a period of 10 days.

5. No order as to costs.
