... Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first and third respondents to consider petitioner's representation, dated 04.03.2022 and further restrain the second respondent from installing power tower and laying High Volt Power line in petitioner's agriculture land in Thoothukudi village, Tiruchendur Taluk, Kalankudiyiruppu village S.No.103/2, 105/1B, 105/1C2, 105/1D1, 105/4A, 94/3A1 and 94/3A3 as which is the only source of his income.

For Petitioner : Mr.V.Rajiv Rufus For Respondents : Mr.S.Deenadhayalan Standing Counsel

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner is an agriculturist. He is aggrieved by the proposed installation of a tower and laying of high volt power line across his lands. The petitioner has given a representation dated 1/3

04.03.2022 and the petitioner wants this Court to direct the respondents to consider the same. Though my sympathies are very much with the petitioner, I am not in a position to grant relief. This is for more than one reason. The petitioner's representation has since been disposed of by the concerned authority and the petitioner was also informed about the same. The petitioner has fairly enclosed the copy of the said communication at page No.21 of the typed set of papers. The learned Standing Counsel states that once track line has been finalised, it is not possible to commit any deviation. The power and authority of the respondents to install the towers and draw high voltage lines is beyond dispute. The respondents have informed the petitioner that proper compensation will be paid to the petitioner as per the relevant guidelines.

3. In these circumstances, this Court's power to interfere is quite limited. I am not in a position to grant any relief to the petitioner.

4. The writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar (CS-I) // True Copy // / /2022 Sub Assistant Registrar(CS) mga To 1.The Chairman, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Limited, Anna Salai, Chennai - 600 002.
