Seeking quashment of C.C.No.938 of 2023 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.VI, Madurai, this criminal original petition is filed.
2. At the instance of the defacto complainant, who is none other than the son-in-law of the 1st and 2nd petitioners and husband of the 3rd petitioner, F.I.R in Crime No.2297 of 2020 was registered as against the petitioners for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(1) of IPC and the same culminated in laying a charge sheet for the same offences in C.C.No.938 of 2023 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.VI, Madurai.
Crl.O.P(MD)No.6240 of 2025:
3. Seeking quashment of C.C.No.414 of 2025 on the file of the learned Additional Mahila Court, Madurai this criminal original petition is filed.

At the instance of the defacto complainant, F.I.R in Crime No. 2280 of 2020 was registered as against the petitioner, who is the son-inlaw of the defacto complainant for the offences under Section 324 IPC and Section 4 of TNPHW Act, 2002 and the same culminated in laying a charge sheet for the same offences in C.C.No.414 of 2025 on the file of the learned Additional Mahila Court, Madurai.
5. Both the cases are case and case in counter, which had arisen out of the matrimonial discord between the sole accused in C.C.No.414 of 2025 and the accused in C.C.No.938 of 2023. At the time of registration of the F.I.R, Balaji and Sivaranjani w/o Balaji were separated and she was living apart in her maternal home. However, now Balaji and Sivaranjani have rejoined and are going steady and all the parties in C.C.Nos.938 of 2023 and 414 of 2025 are willing to settle their scores with each other.
6. Considering the nature of the dispute involved which is nothing but a matrimonial dispute between two families, this Court do 4/6
not find any necessity to keep the pending trial continue. Accordingly, final reports in C.C.No.938 of 2023 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.VI, Madurai and C.C.No.414 of 2025 on the file of the learned Additional Mahila Court, Madurai is quashed.
7. Accordingly, both the Criminal Original Petitions stand allowed.
