ORDER
The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking a direction, directing the 1st respondent to do proper and fair enquiry on the petitioner's complaint, dated 29.12.2015, by scrupulously following the procedures as contemplated in law.
2. The counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that there is a case and a counter case, but, however, the respondent police have registered a case against only the members of the petitioner's family for the incident that took place on 02.12.2015, based on the complaint given by the defacto complainant. He would further submit that, since the petitioner was detained, he could not file the complaint immediately against the accused persons and therefore, he has given the complaint only on 29.12.2015. Therefore, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition for the aforesaid relief.

3. The Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents would submit that based on the complaint given by the
petitioner, a case in Crime No.244 of 2015 has been registered against the accused persons, under the relevant provision of IPC., including the offence under Section 307 of IPC., and that the investigation is going on in a proper direction and therefore, prayed for dismissal of the Criminal Original Petition.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the 2nd respondent, the Inspector of Police, Sindhupatti Police Station, Madurai District, is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.244 of 2015 and file the final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Madurai, is directed to monitor the investigation.
