PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.03.2025 and pass necessary orders or other orders as this Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case. O R D E R

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the representation, dated 21.03.2025 submitted by the petitioner.

2. As the petitioner confined the relief to the extent to consider and dispose of her representation submitted to the respondents only, this Court intends to dispose of this writ petition at the admission stage.

3. The case of the petitioner is that her husband was worked as Assistant General Manager. The petitioner came to know that in the year 2018, her husband was terminated from service by the Bank. Subsequently, on 15.10.2024, he died. The petitioner's husband served 32 years in the Bank. But till date, the petitioner is not receiving any family pension, gratuity and other 2/6

retirement benefits. The grievance of the petitioner is that without receiving any family pension and other benefits, the petitioner and her daughter unable to run their day to day life. In view of the same, the petitioner submitted a representation to the second respondent on 21.03.2025 with a request to provide terminal benefits to the petitioner including monthly pension, family pension. Aggrieved by the inaction of the second respondent in considering the same, the present writ petition is filed.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the relief sought in this writ petition is with respect to consider the representation, dated 21.03.2025 of the petitioner only, in my considered view without keeping this writ petition for years together by issuing notice to the respondents, it is appropriate and reasonable to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage, without going into the merits of the case with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation, dated 21.03.2025 submitted by the petitioner within a time to be stipulated herein under to meet the ends of justice.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation, dated 21.03.2025 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
