ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b) (ii) (B) of NDPS Act in Crime No.512 of 2018, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with A-1 was found in possession of 1250 grams of ganja. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was not at all present in the scene of occurrence, when the alleged ganja was seized from A-1.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor filed a counter affidavit wherein at paragraph no.4, the other cases pending against the petitioners have been mentioned. Further, in the counteraffidavit, it has been stated that on receipt of prior information, the respondent had gone to the scene of occurrence and the informer identified the two persons standing therein and when the respondent police approached, one of the accused ran away from the scene of occurrence and one Pandiarajan, S/o.Thangavel caught red-handed and from him, recovery had been made and he had revealed about the petitioner being the person, who escaped from the scene of occurrence.

5. Considering the gravity of offence said to have been committed by the petitioner and considering the bad antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is of the view that the petitioner is not entitled for anticipatory bail. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
