RESPONDENT/RESPONDENT/RESPONDENT Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to extend the time to furnish sureties in Crl.MP.(MD).No.3671 of 2020 in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.5853 of 2020 dated 22.07.2020. Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of MR.T.LENIN KUMAR, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.K.SUYAMBULINGA BHARATHI, Government Advocate(Crl. Side) on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- Earlier, this Court, by order dated 22.07.2020, in Crl.M.P. (MD).No.3671 of 2020 in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.5853 of 2020, extended the time to the petitioner to surrender before the concerned Magistrate within a period of 15 days from the date on which the order copy made ready.

2.However, according to the petitioner, due to lock down owing to COVID-19 pandemic situation, the petitioner was not able to appear before the Magistrate concerned, within the stipulated time and hence, the present petition has been filed seeking extension of time.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered and time granted by this Court vide order dated 22.07.2020 in Crl.M.P.(MD).No.3671 of 2020 in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.5853 of 2020 is extended by two weeks from today, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL MP(MD) No.3984 of 2020 subject to payment of Rs10,000/- [Rupees Ten Thousand only] to the credit of Madras High Court Madurai Bench Advocate Clerk's Welfare Association, Madurai [Account No.496039124, Indian Bank, High Court Branch, Madurai, IFSC Code:IDIB000H040], failing which, this petition shall stand dismissed automatically without any further reference to this Court.
