O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to change the nominee name as L.Swetha instead of Smt.R.Vijayalakshmi as per petitioner's representations dated 12.02.2020 and 10.04.2024 within a time to be stipulated by this Court.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is working as Senior Superintendent in the office of the second respondent. He would further submit that earlier the petitioner has nominated her mother Smt.R.Vijayalakshmi as nominee and after the death of her mother, she has changed her nominee and made her daughter L.Swetha as her nominee. Though she has sent a representations, dated 12.02.2020 and again on 10.04.2024, the respondents have not chosen to pass any orders and hence, she was constrained to file the above writ petition.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the respondents would submit that they are ready to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders. 2/4
4. As already pointed out, it is only an representation for changing nominee. I am at loss to understand as to why, the said representation is kept pending for the past four years. Whatever it is, the concerned authority is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 10.04.2024 and pass orders within a period of one week from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
