O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent police to give adequate police protection to protect the life and limb of the petitioner and his family on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 12.05.2021, within a stipulated time limit.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a leather business man and also a realtor. The third respondent, who is the L.I.C. agent, approached the petitioner in the year 2010 for taking L.I.C. Policy and later became friends. The respondents 4 to 7 are also L.I.C Agents. In due course of time, the third respondent borrowed Rs.24,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Four Lakhs only) and also paid some interest for a brief period. In the year 2020, when the petitioner asked her to return the money, the respondents 3 to 7 jointly threatened the petitioner with dire consequences and also the third respondent refused to return the money. Hence, the petitioner made a complaint before the second respondent on 30.04.2021 and also made a complaint to the first respondent on 12.05.2021. Since the respondent police have not taken any action, the petitioner is before this Court seeking police https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P(MD)No.7315 of 2021 protection. He would further submit that it is sufficient enough to consider the complaint made by the petitioner on 30.04.2021, in accordance with law.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner has lodged a complaint, dated 30.04.2021 and it is pending in C.S.R.No.402 of 2021. He further submitted that the representation of the petitioner, dated 30.04.2021 will be considered by the second respondent 4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents 1 and 2. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent police is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 30.04.2021 by following the due process of law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
