PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to release the petitioner's Mahendra Bolero Pickup bearing registration No.TN-16Z-1141, pertaining to the case in Cr.No.58 of 2021 on the file of the second respondent herein and return the vehicle to the petitioner based on his representation dated 02.06.2021.

O RDER This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of mandamus directing the respondent to release the vehicle belonging to the petitioner based on the representation of the petitioner dated 02.06.2021. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing on behalf of the second respondent submitted that the vehicle was confiscated and thereafter, by virtue of the confiscation order, the vehicle was also brought for auction and sold in favour of one Selvam Traders, Srivilliputhur, Viruhunagar District. The relevant proceedings dated 27.01.2023 was also produced before this Court in this regard.
3.In view of the above, no further orders can be passed in this writ petition and accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. 19.10.2023 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No ta 2/4
