ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by V.RAMASUBRAMANIAN,J.) The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking a mandamus to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to take appropriate action to regulate the parking lot and public park in the Karaikudi Town by putting up display boards in the parking lot and public park controlled by the third respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.Heard Mr.H.Mohammed Imran learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2. Ms.K.Elilselvi, learned counsel takes notice for the third respondent. 3.The grievance of the petitioner that the licence for the collection of parking fees within the Karaikudi Town was granted by the third respondent to a contractor and that the contractor failed to display the rates of parking fees in the notice boards erected in the parking areas.

4.However, Ms.K.Elil Selvi, learned counsel for the third respondent produced a copy of the notice bearing Na.Ka.No.697/2014/A1 dated 23.09.2015, notifying the contractor Mr.D.Senthilkumar that if he failed to maintain the notice boards in the parking lot properly and that if any complaints are received, the licence granted to him would be terminated. Subsequently, the third respondent has also issued a notice bearing Na.Ka.No.697/2014/A1 dated 04.11.2015 calling upon the contractor to show cause as to why his licence should not be cancelled for violation. Learned counsel for the third respondent has stated that even the amount has now been printed in the receipts.

5.Therefore, the municipality has actually taken appropriate action. Hence, the grievance of the petitioner does not survive anymore. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. If there is any further grievance, the petitioner may address a complaint to the third respondent. No costs. Consequently, M.P(MD) No.1 of 2015 is closed.
