JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by P.VELMURUGAN, J.) The first respondent, as the writ petitioner, has filed the writ petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the fourth respondent herein/Tahsildar to permit the petitioner to celebrate the temple festival of Arulmighu Sri Palamalaiyandi Swamy, Sri Thottichiyamman, Sri Karuppasamy at Palamalaiyanpatty, Senthurai village, Natham Taluk, Dindigul District on 16.01.2019, based on his representation dated 10.12.2018. The Writ Court, by order dated 21.01.2019, disposed of the said writ petition, by granting the permission to conduct the festival. As against which, the fifth respondent in the writ petition has filed the present writ appeal. 2/4

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the first respondent/writ petitioner would submit that the prayer sought for in this writ appeal itself has become infructuous. However, there is no representation on behalf of the appellant. Hence, this writ appeal is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
