ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence under Sections 379, 506(i) of IPC in Crime No.92 of 2024, on the file of 1/3

the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that due to previous enmity, the petitioner had taken away the Defacto complainant's Car bearing Registration No.TN 31 CD 8910. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a farmer. The defacto complainant has borrowed a sum of R.2,00,000/-from the petitioner by mortgaging his car with an assurance that on payment, the defacto complainant would take back the Car. However, he failed to do so. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent strongly opposes for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner as he involves in twelve previous cases, out of which, two cases have been registered for the offence under Section 302 IPC.

5.In reply, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as on date, only two cases are pending as against him and in rest of the cases, he has been acquitted. 6.Though the petitioner claims that the petitioner has been acquitted in most of 2/3

the cases, considering his involvement in the criminal cases, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
