Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to instruct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2015 seeking to issue free house site patta in Thiruparankundram Talumk and its surroundings Nilayoor, Srinivasa Colony and adjacent areas in Madurai District or any other nearby places, within the time stipulated by this Court.

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to issue free house site patta in Thiruparankundram Taluk and its surroundings Nelaiyoor, Srinivasa Colony and adjacent areas in Madurai District.

2.Whether the petitioner is entitled to get such patta based on his eligibility, is for the respondents to consider and decide and therefore, this Court at this stage is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner. As the petitioner's request for grant of such patta by way of a representation dated 03.11.2015 is said to be pending before the 1st respondent, this Writ petition is disposed of without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, only with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
