Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to issue a valid license as per the Street Vendors (Protection of livelihood and regulation of the Street vending) Act, 2014 to the petitioner and consequently directing the 2nd respondent from interfering her peaceful business of pearl millet porridge (fk;gq;$o; ) and Buttermilk (Nkhh; ) mobile vending business located at between the camp (residence) of Madurai District Collector and Additional Collector (Development) New Natham Street, Madurai.

O R D E R

The writ petitioner has approached this Court seeking for the relief stated above.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, it was submitted on behalf of the first respondent Corporation that if proper application is submitted under the Street Vendors (Protection of livelihood and regulation of the Street vending Act, 2014, the same would be considered along with others.

3.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent Corporation, the petitioner is directed to submit an application under the above said Act, permitting him to carry on his without any disturbance from any authority.

4.In such a view of the matter, direction issued to the petitioner to submit an application in proper format to the first respondent corporation, Madurai and upon such application, the first respondent Corporation is directed to consider the application in terms of the scheme of the Act and pass appropriate orders, within the period of two weeks from the date of application.

5. With this direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
