Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents 2 to 5 not to provide Electricity connection through petitioners agriculture land situated in S.No.212/2, 213/1 situated at Savalaperi Village, Kayathar Taluk, Thoothukudi District without following due process of law, based on petitioners objection representation dated 19.03.2024 and pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice. 3/7
ORDER
It is informed that the transmission line has already been drawn in the premises. The husband was directed to return a sum of Rs.15,00,000/- which he had taken as compensation for the land. The demand draft stated to have been drawn on 23.04.2024 is produced today by the counsel. It is not known as to why the demand draft had not been paid to the 6th respondent immediately as directed by this Court particularly when the demand draft has been drawn on the same date as the order.
2. It is also stated that the petitioner has now filed an application for enhancement of compensation which indicates that the petitioner is ready to permit the drawing of the transmission of line across the property in question.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner is unaware of these subsequent events and he seeks time to get necessary instructions and a suggestion has also been made since the petitioner has filed a petition for enhancement, the demand draft now taken can be paid to her. 4/7
