ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to instruct the 3rd respondent not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry, based on the representation of the 1st petitioner dated 27.02.2018.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. According to the petitioner, the defacto complainant lodged a complaint to the respondent police that his daughter was
missing. Subsequently, a case in Crime No.51 of 2018 was registered for "woman missing" on 24.06.2018. Pursuant to his complaint, the respondent Police frequently called the petitioners to the Police Station without any notice and harassed them under the guise of enquiry.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioners were called for enquiry and that the respondent Police did not cause any harassment to the petitioners. However, he gave an undertaking that if at all the presence of the petitioners is required, the respondent would call the petitioners for enquiry only after issuing summons giving specific date, time and place.
5. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioners also submit that the petitioners shall cooperate for the enquiry as and when required by the respondent police.
