ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to conduct a speedy enquiry with respect to O.Mu.No. 3024119/2025/G5 dated 07.03.2025 issued by the first respondent, and to forbear the registration of documents in the Karuppayurani Sub-Registrar Office, Madurai District, in respect of the property mentioned in the prayer, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.03.2026.

2. Upon hearing the petitioner, who appeared in person, and upon perusing the representation, it is seen that the case of the petitioner is that the subject lands originally belonged to one P.V.R. Raman, the father of the petitioner, and after his demise, the petitioner, along with other legal heirs, has inherited the same. It is

alleged that third parties are fraudulently forming layouts in respect of the said lands and are selling the same. In this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation objecting to such registrations.

3. I have also heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.

4. It is seen that, with reference to documents already registered, no action can be taken by the Sub-Registrar. Insofar as the petitioner's representation is concerned, since the same is in the nature of an objection, as and when any document is presented for registration in respect of the subject property, notice shall be issued to the petitioner as well as to the presenter and claimant of such document, and an enquiry shall be conducted, after which appropriate orders shall be passed in accordance with law.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
