This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for directing the respondent police to accord protection to the petitioner so as to enable her to have a peaceful life in the petition mentioned matrimonial home.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.7393 of 2021 remedies under the provisions of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. The petitioner filing a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. before the High Court is misconceived. Leaving open the petitioner's rights and remedies, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. If the petitioner files any such petition before the jurisdictional Court, the same will be taken on file immediately and disposal shall be given after due notice to the parties as per the time frame stipulated in the statute.
