Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner K.P.Rajendran dated 21.12.2017 for license to the petitioner's medical shop from 31.12.2017 next five years is to be extended. O R D E R

This petition is filed for issuance a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 21.12.2017 for renewal of license to the petitioner medical shop for the period of next five years w.e.f 31.12.2017.

2. The respondent has filed a counter affidavit, paragraph 7 of which reads as follows:

" I submit that hence as per the above said newly amended rule the word renewal, certificate of renewal have been completely omitted and therefore from 27.10.2017 onwards there will be no renewal of license and it will be called as retention of license and there will be no renewal fees and it will be called as license retention fee. Therefore, the license for the petitioner's medical shop has already been retained for the period of next five years (from 01.01.2018 to 31.12.2022) as the petitioner had paid the retention fee of Rs.6120/- by demand draft".

3. In view of the specific stand taken by the respondent, the license for the petitioner's medical shop has already been retained for the period of next five years from 01.01.2018 to 31.12.2022, no further direction is necessary in this writ petition.

4. Recording the statement of the fact as extracted above, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
