By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The limited prayer sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 26.10.2022 as against the order of punishment issued by the second respondent vide his proceedings dated 05.08.2022.

3. Since the appeal is still pending, it would be appropriate to direct the first respondent to dispose it of expeditiously, within the stipulated time.

4. In view of the above observations, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 26.10.2022 as expeditiously as possible, in any event, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
