O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondent Nos.1 to 3 to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 09.12.2021 seeking correction in the revenue records in respect of the old S.No. 390/1A, now R.S.Nos.983/7 and 983/6, situated at Samugarengapuram Village, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District, within a stipulated time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that, with an intention to grab the petitioner's property, the fifth respondent attempted to take possession of the same. Therefore, the petitioner made an application to the first respondent on 09.12.2021 seeking correction in the revenue records in respect of the above said land and also gave a complaint dated 02.12.2021 to the fourth respondent. However, no action has been taken on the same till date.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for Respondent Nos.1 to 3 submitted that the petitioner's application dated 09.12.2021 will be considered in accordance with law.

4. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, a direction is issued to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 09.12.2021, on its own merits, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving due notice to the petitioner as well as the fifth respondent and after affording them an opportunity of hearing. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and it is open to the first respondent to consider the same independently.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
