RESPONDENTS/RESPONDENTS Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to extend the time of surrender of these petitioners before the learnd Jurisdictional Special Court by another two weeks so as to comply with the orders of this Honourable Court dated 11/06/2018 made in the above Crl.O.P.(MD) NO.9458 of 2018 Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.C.JEGANATHAN, Advocate for M/S.S.VEERA ASSOCIATES, Advocate for the petitioner and of Mrs.M.ANANTHA DEVI, Government Advocate (crl.Side) for the Respondent the court made the following order:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed to extend the time for surrender of the petitioners before the learned Jurisdictional Special Court by another two weeks in Crl.O.P(MD). No.9458 of 2018, dated 11.06.2018.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the surrender petition was returned by the learned Special Court on the ground that the notice to the defacto complainant was received by some other person. It is made clear that the accused can only send such a notice by registered post to the correct address of the defacto complainant. If somebody received the said registered post on behalf of the defacto complainant, the accused cannot be faulted for the same.
3.The time for surrender is extended by further period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With this clarification, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered.
