O R D E R

Seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.106 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police, dated 20.02.2016 within the stipulated time as laid down by the provisions of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, this Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. A perusal of the F.I.R would go to show that it was registered on 20.02.2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 294(b), 420, 379(NP) and 506(i) of the Indian Penal Code and also under Section 3(1)(x) of SC/ST Act.

4. Going by the nature of the allegations and the number of accused involved in this case, this Court is of the view that it will take some time to complete the investigation by the respondent. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

with a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation, in Crime No.106 of 2016 and file a final report before the concerned jurisdictional Magistrate Court, as expeditiously as possible.
