2. The accused in one case is the defacto complainant in the other case. The allegations in both the cases which were registered as case and case in counter and culminated in the impugned final reports are that on account of property dispute between close relatives, they attacked each other with hands and sticks, and thus committed the aforesaid offences.

The learned counsels for the petitioners in both the cases would submit that due to the intervention of the elders, the parties have now arrived at a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed joint compromise memo dated 06.11.2023 and 01.07.2024 respectively.

4. The petitioners and the defacto complainant in both the cases are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.K.Murugeswari, WHC 1722, Alagappapuram Police Station, Sivagangai District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

Considering the nature of allegations and the relationship, the compromise arrived between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned FIRs pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned final reports are quashed in entirety and the Criminal Original Petitions are allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 06.11.2023 and 01.07.2024 respectively shall form part and parcel of this order.
