[R3 and R4 are impleaded vide order dated 14.07.2022] PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first and second respondents herein to pay compensation for the petitioner's land bearing Survey 1/4
No.187-1C3 in Sirukankurichi Village, Tirunelveli Taluk, Tirunelveli District for the total extent of 5.6 cents which is acquired from the petitioner by the respondents herein by considering the representation dated 08.05.2021 within a stipulated time period as prescribed by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.S.Saravanan For Respondents : Mr.R.Ragavendran O RDER This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the first and second respondents to pay the compensation to the land acquired from the petitioner based on the representation made by the petitioner dated 08.05.2021.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents produced the written instructions received from the second respondent stating that the civil dispute is pending with regard to the present issue before the competent civil Court and the compensation will be paid only after the disposal of the said suit. 3.In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to respond to the representation made by the petitioner on 08.05.2021 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
