This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the third respondent to grant patta in the name of petitioner alone by deleting the name of the fourth respondent in the light of the order in Na.Ka. D3/35435/2009 dated 19.07.2011 passed by the District Revenue Officer, Ponnamaravathi, Pudukkottai District.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner has passed away, and accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed as abated. However, liberty is granted to the legal heirs of the deceased petitioner to approach the competent authority seeking appropriate remedy, if any. No costs.
