Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 17.07.2015, challenging the punishment of dismissal from service imposed by the 3rd respondent in Na.Ka.No.517/2008/RV-3, dated 30.12.2014 and the same was confirmed by the 2nd respondent in his proceedings Na.Ka.No.244/15(vu) on 07.04.2015 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court. Mr.M.Muniyasamy, learned counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 2.The prayer in the Writ petition lies in a narrow compass. The petitioner was dismissed by the 3rd respondent by an order dated 30.12.2014. He preferred an appeal before the 2nd respondent. However, the 2nd respondent rejected the appeal by order dated 07.04.2015. In the appellate order itself, it is stated that a further appeal lies to the 1st respondent.

3.According to the petitioner, he made an appeal on 16.05.2015 to the 1st respondent. Thereafter, he sent a reminder on 17.07.2015. He has filed this Writ petition, seeking for a direction to dispose of the appeal on merits and in accordance with law.

4.In these circumstances, the Writ petition is disposed of, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the said appeal on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If there is any delay in preferring the said appeal, the same can be condoned. No costs.
