This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned order passed by the second respondent dated 07.01.2025 and consequently, to direct the respondents to rectify the errors in the legal heir certificate.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the respondents, submitted that if the petitioner furnishes the relevant documents issued by the competent authority regarding the change of her name, the respondents will consider and decide the issue in accordance with the law.

In view of the above submission, this Writ Petition stands disposed of by directing the petitioner to produce the necessary documents, as required by the respondents, in respect of her change of name within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of such documents, the respondents shall examine and decide the matter on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks thereafter.
