ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2.The petitioner registered his name in the Employment Exchange. The third respondent has communicated the petitioner that an interview for the post of Village Assistant will be held on 30.01.2014 at 10.00 a.m based on the seniority list provided by the second respondent. However, the registered post sent by the third respondent on 22.01.2014 reached Kodumudi Post Office only on 24.01.2014 and however the same was not delivered to the petitioner before 30.01.2014. On the other hand, the said letter was served on the petitioner only on 31.01.2014 by which time, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

interview was over on 30.01.2014. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation on 18.02.2014 to the respondents to consider his name in the future vacancies. As the said representation has not been considered so far, the present writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to appoint the petitioner in future vacancies based on the representation dated 18.02.2014.

3.As the petitioner claims that the communication sent by the third respondent has not reached him within time calling upon him to appear for interview on 30.01.2014, it is for the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner to consider his name to be sponsored for future employment. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.02.2014 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
