O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondents to complete the investigation in Crime No.118 of 2019, pending on the file of the second respondent Police and file a final report within a period as stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3.Today, when the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that since the case has been registered for the offence punishable under Sections 153, 153A(1)(a), 153A(1)(b), 153B, 295A, 506 (2) of I.P.C., and Sections 67 and 67A of Information Technology Act, 2000, considerable time is necessary to the Investigation Officer for completing the investigation. In this regard, he would specifically pray before this Court that six more months is necessary for completing the investigation.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.10256 of 2020 4.Recording the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the second respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.118 of 2019 and file a final report before the concerned Jurisdictional Court within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
