: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to ensure the supply of quality signals to the MSO situated at 7LF Road, Kanarpatti, Kamuthi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, in the light of the earlier enrollment certificate issued to the petitioner in enrollment No.10907 and consequently direct the second respondent to give appropriate advise to the fourth respondent so as to enable him to telecast the petitioner's local channel, namely, Nanban and Tholan TV within Mudukulathor area at appropriate band as per the allotment order dated 28.01.2011. The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to ensure the supply of quality signals to the MSO situated at 7LF Road, Kanarpatti, Kamuthi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District.

2. When the Writ Petition was taken up for hearing on 12.11.2015, it was represented by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents that the petitioner is not doing any cable TV operation as-on-date and therefore, the prayer sought for in the Writ Petition has become infructuous. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner took time to verify the same from the petitioner. Accordingly, this matter was adjourned.
3. Today, when the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is not in a position to say anything and he only submits that he could not contact his client. I find that no purpose would be served by granting further time to the petitioner's counsel, as he is not in a position to inform the present state of affairs. Therefore, this Court is left with no other option, except to dismiss the Writ Petition as infructuous. Accordingly, by recording the statement of the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, as stated supra, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
