PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to issue assignment patta to the petitioner's agricultural land in survey No.45, Siruvalai Village, Madurai District, to an extent of 30 cents, based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.07.2020, as per revenue standing order-15 and consequently direct the respondents to use the existing pathway to reach Cremation ground in Siruvalai village, Madurai District.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to issue assignment patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the property in S.No.45 situated at Siruvalai Village, Madurai District, measuring to an extent of 30 cents and to direct the respondents to use the existing pathway to reach Cremation Ground in Siruvalai Village, Madurai District.

2.According to the petitioner, she made a representation dated 21.07.2020 to the 3rd respondent with the relief sought for in the prayer. So far, no action has been taken by the 3rd respondent. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

W.P.(MD)No.9273 of 2020 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 21.07.2020 would be considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 4.In agreement with the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.07.2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
