PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the third respondent to delete the name of Vasuki and add the name of petitioner wife Vasantha and their minor son C.Yugas in the petitioner's family card No.29/G/0784130 based on the petitioner application dated 11.03.2013, within the stipulated time.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the third respondent to delete the name of his first wife viz., Vasuki and add the names of his second wife Vasantha and their minor son C.Yugas in his family card based on his application dated 11.03.2013.

2. The learned Government Advocate on instructions submitted that already the petitioner's request was considered and appropriate recommendation was made in the month of March 2014 itself and therefore the petitioner cannot have any grievance.

3. On the other hand, it is submitted by the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner that till this date, the petitioner has not been supplied with the amended ration card.

4. Considering the above stated facts and circumstances, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.03.2013 and pass orders on the same informing the petitioner as to what are the steps taken on his request seeking for amendment of the ration card. Such exercise shall be done by the third respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
