ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to issue patta in respect of the property comprised in Door No.54, (old Door No.26/W6-S2, 26A/W6-S2, Madurai - Trichy Main Road, Melur Taluk, Madurai District) on the basis of the petitioner's online application 10.03.2026.

2. The brief facts of the case are that the petitioner's father Karuppan Chettiyar and Cheeyan Chettiyar are brothers. One Pechi Achi is the wife of Cheeyan Chettiyar and the said Pechi Achi had no children. The said Cheeyan Chettiyar died, leaving behind Pechi Achi as his sole legal heir. Thereafter, Pechi Achi purchased the subject property through a registered sale deed dated 05.10.1975, vide Document No. 3720 of 1975. She became the absolute owner of the property and was in possession and enjoyment of the same. Subsequently, Pechi Achi executed a registered Will dated 14.08.2003, vide Document No. 28 of 2003, in favour of the petitioner. After the demise of Pechi Achi, the petitioner became the absolute owner of the property. As per the affidavit filed, there are no rival claims or disputes in respect of the property. 2/4

3. In view of the above, this Court is directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's online application dated 10.03.2026 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
