PRAYER :- To enlarge the petitioner on bail in respect in PRC No.14/2020 in Crime No.97/2019 pending before the Judicial Magistrate, Vedasandur, Dindigul. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 14.02.2024 for 1/3

the offence under Sections 201, 316, 302 IPC in Crime No. 97 of 2019. The petitioner has absconded for nearly 29 months and he has been secured by the respondent police on 14.02.2024.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in judicial custody for the past 57 days and he undertakes to appear before the trial Court in all the hearings.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent strongly objects for grant of bail to the petitioner on the ground that he has already absconded for nearly 29 months. Now the case has been committed to Mahila Court, (FTC), Dindigul in S.C.No.43 of 2024.

4.In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to renew the application after examination of eye witnesses.
