ORDER

This petition has been filed praying to direct the respondents to give necessary police protection to the petitioner's life and limb based on his representation dated 02.04.2016.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that already the Civil Court has granted a decree in O.S.No.74 of 2013 on 07.09.2015 and based on which, the petitioner decided to put up a gate in his own pathway. But the defendants in the said suit viz., Ashok kumar, Padmanaban and Senthilkumar attempted to interfere with the activity of the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation to the first respondent on 02.04.2016 to provide police protection. to the second respondent. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court by filing this Petition.

4.Even though protection is sought, for the life and limb of the petitioner, the petitioner has restricted his relief to the extent of seeking protection for the purpose of putting up a gate in his own pathway. There is also an undertaking to pay necessary charges for protection.

5.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that as per the Civil Court decree, the respondents are bound to give protection to the petitioner.
