ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police, in connection with a case in Crime No.not known of 2024, has filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person. The defacto complainant only loved the petitioner and when he refused to accept the same, she foisted a complaint. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submits that based on the complaint lodged by the defacto complainant, CSR No.110 of 2024 was registered and enquiry is pending against the petitioner. 4.Considering the fact that no case was registered as against the petitioner, this Criminal Original Petition is closed as there is no apprehension of arrest. The respondent police is not supposed to keep a petition enquiry pending for more than 15 days in normal cases and six weeks in exceptional cases as per the circular issued 2/3

by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu in Rc.No.226313/Crime-4(3)/2013, dated 26.07.2018.
