Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to mutate and issue the property tax in the petitioner's name for the property in Door No.93/A, in assessment No.26095 for the property situate in Town Survey No.1150/2 at Vandi Marichi Amman Kovil Street, Block No.5, Ward No.4, Thoothukudi Town within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

Mr.Sajibeno, learned counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner seeks for mutation of property tax assessment in respect of his property situate in Door No.93/A in assessment No.26095 in Town Survey No.1150/2 at Vandi Marichi Amman Kovil Street, Block No.5, Ward No.4, Thoothukudi Town. 3.It stated that the petitioner after purchase of the said property seeks for property tax assessment in his favour. For such purpose, it is stated that the petitioner made an application on 07.05.2015 followed by a reminder on 02.06.2015 before the respondents and the said application is still pending. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 4.Therefore, without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, this Writ petition is disposed of directing the

respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 07.05.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
