PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to survey and demarcate the petitioner's land bearing S.No.149/1A, situated at Valayanenthal Revenue Village within Taluk limit of Thiruppuvanam, Sivagangai District based on the petitioner's petition dated 02.09.2020 made to the respondent.

directing the respondent to act upon the petition submitted by the petitioner on 02.09.2020, wherein the petitioner is seeking survey and demarcation of the property belonging to the petitioner.

2.The petitioner claims to be the absolute owner of the subject property by virtue of the partition deed, dated 11.12.2012. Thereafter, patta was also granted in favour of the petitioner. In the year 2020, the petitioner wanted to survey and demarcate the property that was given to the share of the petitioner. Hence, he made a petition dated 02.09.2020 and necessary fee was also paid by the petitioner. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

3.Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondent.

4.Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for by the petitioner in the writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to act upon the petition filed by the petitioner on 02.09.2020 and take a decision with regard to survey of the subject property and demarcation of the same, if this process has not already been completed till date.
