Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas corpus calling for the entire records, connected with the detention order of the second respondent in No.22/BCDFGISSSV/2021, dated 16.4.2021 and to quash the same and to direct the respondents to produce the detenu by name Arumugam, son of Antonyraj, aged about 22 years, now detained in Palayamkottai Central Prison before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith. [Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the wife of the detenu, namely, Arumugam, son of Antonyraj, aged about 22 years, challenging the Detention Order in No.22/BCDFGISSSV/2021, dated 16.4.2021, passed by the second respondent, branding him as "Bootlegger" as contemplated under Section 2(b) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel for the State appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of G.O.Rt.No.2643, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XIV) Department, dated 14.06.2021, would state that the impugned detention order has been revoked.

3. Recording the above submission, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
