ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A2, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent Police for the offences punishable under Sections 379 and 414 of IPC in Crime No.709 of 2019 on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution as per the de-facto complainant, is that on 02.05.2019 at about 8.35 pm., when the defacto complainant was returning from Natham to his house at about 8.45 pm., two unknown persons stopped the petitioner under the guise of enquiring address had snatched the gold chain of the defacto complainant weighing 5 1⁄2 sovereigns. Hence, the complaint.

4. It is seen that the petitioner is arrayed as A2. The first accused used to snatch chain from the victims and hand over the same to the petitioner. Thereafter the petitioner used to pledge the same. The son of the petitioner is involved in more than 50 cases throughout Tamil Nadu and the petitioner is also having five previous cases, therefore custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much required in this case.

5. Hence the petition stands dismissed.
