The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the first respondent/Sub Collector, Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli District, to process further the appeal of the petitioner, dated 21.11.2022.

2. A report had been forwarded to the learned Special Government Pleader, wherein, it had been stated that the records have been forwarded to the first respondent on 14.06.2023. 2/4

The first respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner and more specifically, also to the third respondent herein Esakkimuthu, son of Suyambu Nadar, and after ensuring presence of both the parties and other interested parties, endeavour to dispose of the appeal on or before 31.12.2023.

4. With the above direction, the Writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
