O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by T.RAJA, J.) This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the correctness of the order passed by the second respondent, dated 20.04.2022, wherein the request of the petitioner to grant permission for conducting Rekhla Race was refused.

2. The petitioner sought permission to conduct the Rekhla Race and price distribution ceremony to be held on 29.05.2022 between 06.00 a.m., and 08.00 a.m., from Samathuvapuram Bus stand, Pappakudi to Iddaikal Junction, Tirunelveli District.

3. Mr.M.Siddharthan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the order passed by https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.9311 of 2022 the second respondent, citing a valid reason, cannot be found fault with. However, the second respondent is ready to grant permission to conduct the Rekhla Race from Pappakudi Samathuvapuram to Chengulam Bus Stand.

4. The submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader is recorded and the respondent police is directed to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the Rekhla Race and price distribution ceremony on 29.05.2022 between 06.00 a.m., and 08.00 a.m., from Pappakudi Samathuvapuram to Chengulam Bus Stand, with usual conditions.

5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
