O R D E R
The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd Respondent to grant permission and necessary protection to Goat Fight (Kidamuttu) schedule to be at 08.00 a.m., to 06.00 p.m., on 22.04.2023 at Arulmigu Sri Sundravalliamman Thirukovil at A.Pudupatti Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District in connecting with "Maha Urtchava Thiruvizha" based on the representation dated 03.04.2023.
2. Mr. B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that festival for the temple, by name, " Arulmigu Sri Sundravalliamman Thirukovil at A.Pudupatti Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District, is going to be held on 22.04.2023. Subsequent to the same, in order to 2/5
conduct a Kidamuttu on 22.04.2023, they sought permission of the Police by giving a representation dated 03.04.2023. But, the second respondent has not considered the said representation. Since no order was passed, the writ petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit he has objected to grant permission to conduct Kidamuttu on 22.04.2023. The respondent Police is present before this Court and stated that on 11.04.2023 Jallikattu event was conducted. At the conclusion of the above said event, fire has been lighted by some persons, over which, no case has been registered.

In view of the submission made by the respondent Police, if any problem is apprehended, the second respondent is directed to reject the representation made by the petitioner dated 03.04.2023 and pass appropriate orders. So that the petitioner can workout the remedy through appropriate proceedings.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
