O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to provide the arrears of interest for the subscription amount deducted from the salary of the petitioner's husband towards the General Provident Fund while in service along with Dearness Allowance Arrears and 5th pay commission Arrears and revised pay commission arrears within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that her husband has worked as Malaria Mazdoor in the respondent Corporation and he retired from service on 30.06.2013. Thereafter, her husband died on 26.02.2018. At the time of retirement of her husband, the General Provident Fund was not paid in full and the interest for the subscription amount deducted from her husband's regular monthly salary towards General Provident Fund was not settled. Hence, the petitioner has made a detailed representation to the respondent on 13.11.2024, seeking arrears of interest. Since there was no progress till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's 2/5

representation dated 13.11.2024 and pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable time fixed by this Court.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent.

Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.11.2024 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
