O R D E R

The contempt petition has been filed for non compliance of the interim order passed in W.P.(MD) No.5537 of 2020 dated 18.03.2020.

2. The interim order passed by this Court reads as under: "2.The learned counsel for the respondent would state that even the report might be in favour https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Cont. P.(MD) No.649 of 2020 of the petitioner to drop the proceedings. Since the Government has issued orders not to pass any final orders till 31.03.2020, due to preventive measures of Corona virus (Covid-19) and considering the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondents, the respondents are directed not to take any action on the report and also not to proceed further with the report till it is placed before this Court on 07.04.2020."

3. The learned counsel for the respondent made a submission that the interim order passed by this Court has been scrupulously followed by the authorities and no action has been taken as directed by this Court in the interim order. However, the contempt petition is filed in respect of some other allegations against the third respondent Inspector of Police. The allegation for moving the contempt petition is that in a criminal case registered, the Inspector of Police has initiated some action. The said action if at all done is a different cause, which will not be a ground to invoke the contempt of Courts Act. As far as the interim order against which the contempt petition is filed, the respondents have not violated and therefore, no further adjudication is required in this petition. Accordingly, the contempt petition stands closed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar (AS) // True Copy // / /2022 Sub Assistant Registrar(CS) RR TO:
