Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the second respondent to sub-divide the land comprised in S.No.402/1B4A of Pillayarnatham Village, Kovilpatti Taluk, Tuticorin District and issue patta. 4.It is seen that the petitioner has made an application seeking for sub-division and for grant of patta on 10.04.2015 by paying a sum of Rs.40/- towards such sub-division. It is stated that the second respondent has not taken any steps based on the petitioner's request. Therefore, the petitioner made a reminder on 05.12.2015 seeking for subdivision of the property and for grant of patta specifically stating that the petitioner has made the application on 10.04.2015 itself.

5. Considering the above said facts and circumstances, without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, I only direct the second respondent to consider the request of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
