Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order in PR 73/2009 dated 23.02.2010 and quash the same as illegal and provide all consequential benefits including promotion to the rank of Sub-Inspector of Police at the appropriate stage. 2. This appeal by the Director General of Police and 3 others
is directed against the order made in W.P.(MD)No.4787 of 2010 dated 08.01.2014.
3.The said writ petition was filed by the respondent herein, challenging an order of punishment in PR No.73 of 2009 dated 23.02.2010. The writ petition was disposed of with a direction that the respondent may be given notional promotion with all monetary benefits as indicated in the order, as the respondent had already retired from service.
4.This appeal was presented by the appellants beyond the period of limitation and therefore, the appeal was in the S.R. stage. In the mean time, the third appellant has implemented the order and also intimated the learned Government Pleader vide letter dated 12.03.2016.
5.Thus, nothing survives in the appeal. Hence, this Writ Appeal is closed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed. No costs.
